A New Year

My big project at the moment is the creation of a comic art narrative trail to be displayed through Hobart's city centre.

For once in my adult life I'm actually creating a story first, rather than just creating text for a favorite image or series of images.

I'm getting mentoring in the story creation by Ryk Goddard, the director of Is Theatre, which is a big help.

This project is a big step for me, the first finished work I've done in years that's totally my own. My last body of work would of been my jewellery that I had for sale in Salamanca shops, but that had a very niche audience, now I'm taking my work to public spaces which is a new and scary thing.

I'm looking forward to the process of it all!

Pictures soon-ish of my work-in-progress installation in the Salamanca Arts Centre last month.
